Wild Brumby Distillery is Australia’s highest-altitude distillery, located in the Thredbo Valley of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales. Founded in 2003, we sit in the shadow of Mount Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest mountain at 2,228 metres, and draw on the pure alpine environment that surrounds us. The name ‘Wild Brumby’ is a nod to the wild horses that have roamed the Snowy Mountains for generations, a symbol of Australian freedom, resilience, and untamed spirit.

We are a craft distillery and café destination producing handcrafted schnapps and vodka using real fruit and traditional European distilling methods. Our schnapps range, inspired by Austrian and German tradition, is made on-site from natural ingredients with no artificial flavours. Wild Brumby is a place where the Australian bush meets alpine craftsmanship, a destination that has welcomed visitors for over two decades.
