Husk Farm Distillery is Australia's only single-estate, farm-to-bottle rum distillery - and one of the most genuinely differentiated spirits brands in the country.
Founded in 2012 in the Tweed River valley in Northern New South Wales, Husk grows its own sugarcane on a 150-acre working farm in Tumbulgum, harvests it fresh, and distils entirely on the same property. No shortcuts. Every bottle begins and ends on the same land.
Unlike most rum producers, Husk works across the full spectrum of premium sugarcane - fresh cane juice and cane honey - giving the range a broader, more complex flavour than a single production method allows. The land, the climate and the place shape every product.
Husk is also the home of ink Gin, the world's first naturally colour-changing gin. Launched in 2015, ink is crafted with butterfly pea flower, creating its signature deep indigo colour that transforms to vibrant pink when tonic or citrus is added. Produced using natural botanicals with no artificial colours, ink has become one of Australia's most recognised premium gin brands.
Husk was founded by Paul Messenger and built alongside daughter and co-founder Harriet Messenger. The distillery is now led by one of Australia's most respected rum makers, CEO Quentin Brival. Originally from Martinique, Quentin's background brings authenticity and a direct connection to one of the world's great agricultural rum regions.

Why work with us
Husk Farm Distillery offers one of Australia's most distinctive premium spirits portfolios, built on provenance, authenticity and craftsmanship.
Every bottle of HUSK Rum begins and ends on their farm. That is rare anywhere in the world.
Most rum is made from molasses - a by-product of sugar production. HUSK starts earlier, and closer to the land. HUSK grows its our own sugarcane, harvests it, and blends with both fresh crushed cane juice and cane honey - the full premium spectrum of sugarcane - fermenting, distilling and ageing everything on site. That direct relationship with the land is what shapes the flavour across the range. The result is a rum that is lighter, cleaner and more aromatic than molasses-based rum - genuinely accessible to whisky and gin drinkers trading into the category, while retaining full credibility with serious spirits buyers.
HUSK is grown, not made and a rum to discover.
Awards:

Alongside HUSK Rum sits ink Gin, the world's first naturally colour-changing gin. Combining premium quality with a memorable consumer experience, ink has become one of Australia's most recognised contemporary gin brands.
Together, HUSK Rum and ink Gin offer Australian spirits with genuine points of difference, appealing to both trade professionals and consumers looking for authentic, story-led brands.
